What Happens on Installation Day
Getting ready for installation day? Here's what you can expect on the day of your fibre installation:
Engineer Arrival:
The engineer will arrive at your scheduled time slot. They’ll bring everything needed to connect your home to our full fibre network, you will need to provide them with the router that we have sent to you.
Assessing the Setup:
The engineer will check where the fibre line will enter your property and discuss the best location for your router. They'll ensure the placement suits your needs and provides optimal performance.
The Installation Process
Running the fibre Cable: If external work is required, the engineer may install a new line from the street to your home, this will require them to drill a small hole to feed the fibre cable into your property.
Fitting the ONT and Router: Inside, they’ll fit the ONT, set up your fibre connection and install the router in the agreed location.
Testing the Connection: Once everything is in place, they’ll test your connection to ensure it’s working perfectly.
Activation: Your service will usually be live before the engineer leaves. They'll confirm everything is set up, test the speed and answer any questions you might have.
Final Steps: The engineer will give you a brief overview of your new setup, including how to connect your devices. They’ll also leave you with any important information about your new service.
